International Fees

International, or overseas students, are those students who were not born in Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.

If you were born in Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland and have not lived in the UK or Republic of Ireland for the last 3 years, please get in touch as you may be classed as an international student and we will require to ask additional questions.

International students currently in the UK can enrol at West Lothian College only if their purpose for being in the UK is not solely for education. West Lothian College cannot sponsor any form of student visa including any student visa, standard visitor visa or short-term study visa.

Individuals who have been resident in the UK for over 3 years and are currently resident in Scotland are eligible for ‘home’ fees. Home fees are those fees charged to Scottish nationality students which are displayed on the course information page of our website for part-time courses and are £1285 for full-time HNC/HND courses.

If you do not meet the residency requirements above we are required to charge an “overseas” fee.

Full-time course fees at West Lothian College are £6,000 per year. Part-time course fees are set at £3,000 per year.

Refugees or asylum seekers in the UK are eligible for 'home fees' provided they have the necessary proof of their status.
