Learning and Teaching Facilities

West Lothian College is equipped with a range of learning and teaching facilities on campus to meet the needs of our students and staff.

Facilities on campus include a state-of-the-art fitness suite, sports hall, commercial kitchens, children's playroom, engineering workshop, fully functioning mechanics garage, electrical engineering workshops, collaboration stations, art and photography studios, laboratories and classrooms for all needs and sizes of classes. 

For our students and the community to hire

We have a range of facilities on campus which are available for our students to use out with their learning and teaching time, for commercial lets and for community events.

Indoor Sports Hall

West Lothian College boasts the largest multi-functional indoor sports hall within West Lothian, which is utilised by our students Monday to Friday during term time to teach a variety of sports; including futsal, fitness testing, badminton, basketball and tennis. 

The sports hall is available to hire in the evenings and at weekends for sports events, training, tournaments or other community based events. The hall can be carpeted and set up for non-sport events upon request. Catering can also be supplied upon request.

Terrace Restaurant

The Terrace Restaurant is primarily a training restaurant for our hospitality students- providing a valuable experience of a real restaurant environment, where they produce dishes of the highest standard.

The students are supervised by expert chefs in the planning, cooking and serving of dishes, with restaurant open to students, staff and members of the public for both lunches and evening meals.

Endurance Fitness Suite

Endurance provides specialist-teaching facilities in cardiovascular, weight training and sports specific conditioning for the full range of West Lothian College's full-time sport and fitness courses.

The fitness suite is located in Building 1 on the square, and is open to both staff and students.

Fully air conditioned, it hosts state of the art fitness industry accredited equipment, with a large free weights area, fixed weights, and TECHNOGYM cardiovascular machines.

Platinum Salon & Spa

Platinum is a modern, commercial hairdressing and beauty salon offering state of the art treatments using the very best products. Hair cutting, styling, and colouring are all available along with a range of the latest beauty and spa treatments including massage, waxing, paraffin wax massage and aromatherapy.

Campus Café

Our catering facilities have been designed to meet student needs by offering you a comfortable, modern environment in which to eat, socialise, study or just relax.

We have a food court area with three service points which offer you a selection of food and drinks from early morning until early evening, and if you just fancy a quick coffee- we have a contactless serve service coffee station.

Our three service points include our main counter which service hot foods both of the snack or main meal variety; our coffee bar offers a selections of sandwiches, rolls and other snacks, which are either pre-made or made to order.

Within in the Campus Café, you can sit in the comfortable seating area, which has a number of IT enabled seating areas, designed to support students on their learning journey at West Lothian College.
