Alisha Clarkson NC Level 6 Beauty Care

Alisha Clarkson has spent the last few years as a full-time mum but has always had an interest in the world of Beauty Care and once her kids were old enough she decided to apply for college.

Alisha, who lives in Fauldhouse, is studying NC Beauty Care Level 6 and is enjoying the course so much that she is already looking ahead to the HNC and potentially opening a home salon:

“The thing about this course you get the practical skills but you are also taught the business skills so you can go into business for yourself. Before coming to college, that isn’t something I would have thought would be reachable but it actually is!”

Despite an extended time away from education, Alisha is relishing learning new skills:

“I’ll be honest, I did have concerns about coming to college after being away from learning for so long but I am so happy I did. I wish I had done it years ago. Don’t ever feel that age is a limit.”
