West Lothian College seeks new board member

We are currently recruiting a new voluntary board member to take up appointment from 1 August 2024. Our Board includes members with a range of skills and expertise in the public, private and voluntary sectors as well as elected student, staff and trade union representatives.

Do you have enthusiasm and an enquiring mind?

Do you want to extend your professional network and enhance your leadership skills?

Do you want to use your skills and experience to help people become the best that they can be?

If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of these questions then West Lothian College Board of Governors would love to hear from you.

We are looking to recruit a new board member who can complement and extend the skills matrix of the current Board. Ideally, the successful candidate will have expertise in finance work. We also want to increase board diversity by attracting new members from across diverse communities.

The successful candidate will be part of a team of twenty members, working together to ensure that West Lothian College delivers the best learning experience for the growing number of young people and adult learners in the region.

You may never have considered a board position before, but your experience may be invaluable. Public sector boards are keen to increase the diversity of their non-executive directors and this may be a great opportunity for you.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 14 February 2024 at midnight, and interviews will be held on Thursday 29 February 2024.
