Are you ready to start your course at West Lothian College?

  • You've been accepted for your course
  • You've had your induction
  • All that's left is to join us at West Lothian College next week!

We hope you enjoyed your induction. It really was great to see students on campus again and whether you are a returning student or new to the college, you should now be ready to start your course with confidence!

Our Principal Jackie Galbraith has written a letter to all students as a new term begins at the college. You can read this here

Remember support is available

We know it's been a difficult few months for everyone and we want you to know that we are here for you.

We have 3 professional Counsellors who work at the college who are here to support students, plus our Student Support Team who are on hand to help you with any issues you might have.

We work closely with many organisations who are always on hand to help if you are struggling.

Neils Hugs work closely with the college and are available for one-to-one chats offering support and can signpost you to relevant services, if required.

You can hear from Donna Paterson-Harvie, founder of Neils Hugs in this video: https://youtu.be/5XPuusoFeX0

As a student at West Lothian College, you have access to Togetherall, a digital mental health support service which is available online, 24/7, and is completely anonymous so you can express yourself freely and openly.

While we offer lots of support for students, parents should be aware that unlike school, where students are over 16, we are not allowed to discuss individual progress with parents without the student’s permission.

Don’t suffer in silence, we are here to help you!

All that remains to be said is, we are very glad to be welcoming you back!
