SCHOOLS ESOL LEVEL 2 & 3 (TUE & THU) PM

This course will help you develop your English language and support your studies at school. Choosing ESOL for schools means you can achieve SQA units which will help you with your other subjects too.

Please note: Applications for all Full-Time, Part-Time and Schools courses for August 2026 entry are now closed.
If you are interested in studying with us, applications for our January 2027 Full-Time Short Courses will open on 13th October 2026.

Applications for August 2027 entry will open in mid-January 2027. These courses will be showcased at our December Showcase Event, with full details available closer to the time.

Days: Tuesday & Thursday
Time: 1.30pm - 4.15pm

On this course, you will have support from your ESOL college lecturer. You will study in school and may be required to attend college on some occasions for assessment. Your study at each level is expected to run for one year.

Please note: Only students attending School can apply for this course as this is not an adult course. 

  • What the course includes

    This course supports students to understand the English language. You will develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills while working towards a qualification.

    Students will have their English assessed prior to being offered a class, this is to allow students to work at a level that will help them achieve.

You gain SQA units which will help improve your verbal and written communication skills in the English language. 

Entry requirements

An interest in improving your English language skills. A-Levelling assessment is required where we will assess your current level of English language. This will be arranged by your school.

    Education: Achieving ESOL level 5 gives you more opportunities to progress into further study in a wide range of subjects.

Interview arrangements

We will invite you for levelling assessment arranged by your school to find out the level you are at.
