Our Level 4 Hairdressing course offers an exciting, hands-on learning experience that will set you up for success in the hairdressing industry. You’ll gain practical skills by working with mannequins, peers, and clients to deliver essential hairdressing services and create stunning styles. As part of the program, you’ll assist in our state-of-the-art Platinum Salon, giving you the opportunity to work alongside professionals and immerse yourself in a realistic salon environment.
Throughout the course, you'll also develop key employability skills and gain a strong understanding of health and safety in the salon. We cover essential areas such as retail, reception, communication, and IT to ensure you’re well-rounded and ready for the demands of the industry.
To further enhance your learning, we invite industry guest speakers who will provide valuable insights into career opportunities, demonstrate the latest techniques, and keep you up to date with the newest trends. Additionally, you'll have the chance to showcase your talents by competing in our in-house competitions and at the prestigious AHT competition, giving you the chance to shine and build your professional portfolio.

By doing this course you will gain a good understanding of the hairdressing profession and practical experience of working and assisting in our industry-standard Platinum Salon.
You should be motivated, enthusiastic and interested in the hairdressing industry.
We welcome applications from mature returners, including those who lack formal qualifications or who wish to change career direction.
If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.
You must successfully pass your interview to be accepted on this course.

This qualification will teach you employability skills which will allow you to enter the industry as a junior or continue your studies to the next level within the hairdressing industry to advance your hairdressing skills.
We will invite you for interview at which we will give you information about the course and a one-to-one interview, and ask you to complete a written/research task.
