MOTORCYCLE MAINTENANCE (TUES) (JANUARY)

This course is designed for motorcycle owners or hobbyists interested in gaining skills and knowledge about motorcycle maintenance and repair.

Start date – 27th January 2026  
End date – 26th May 2026 
Duration:  16 weeks 

SCQF Level - equivalent to SCQF level 3 
Mode - Part time (Evenings)     
Days: Tuesday    
Times: 6pm - 8pm 
Cost -  £300

You will gain lots of practical experience working on motorcycles within the college workshop and on your own motorcycles. You will learn how to maintain your motorcycle, keeping it in a safe and reliable condition. 

 

  • What this course includes

    During the course you will learn about wheels and tyres, braking systems and suspension systems as well as transmission, steering and engine maintenance and also checking and repairing electrical systems.

This course will give you the confidence to successfully maintain your motorcycle and keep it in a safe condition to ride. It will also give you a better understanding on how a motorcycle can be setup to improve your riding and skill level. 

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but an interest in motorcycle maintenance and repair is essential. 

If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.
