Connor Green won the Childhood Practice and Sports & Fitness Student of the Year Award at the 2019 graduation.

Connor has been an important part of the Men into Early Years project over the past year which focussed on promoting careers in childhood practice to men.

On nominating Connor Anne-Marie McAllan said: “Connor was nominated due to him being a great ambassador for Men in to Early Years this last academic year. He volunteered readily throughout the year with various project including filming for the Scottish Government video and the sessions that took place here at our Outdoor Classroom with young men from various local high schools.

“He has become a role model for all young males aspiring to take their first steps towards a career in Early Years.”

At graduation Connor said: “It’s a great honour to get this award, really feels like a privilege. My time at college has been amazing, I’ve enjoyed every minute of it and I’m happy to be doing it over again this year!”
