Naomi Ruth Forbes, Accelerated HNC Accounting
Naomi Ruth Forbes found herself at a loss when furloughed during the coronavirus pandemic and decided to make the most of the extra time she had by getting some new skills and a qualification.
After looking at courses Naomi decided that the Accelerated course was best for her:
"I thought that the opportunity to do it in the shorter time frame and doing it from home would work well for me as I was furloughed at the time and needed something to do.
"I loved the course, working from home was great and the fact that it was all open book made for a much more realistic experience of today's work environment."
Commenting on the support provided by the college she added:
"The lecturers were amazing helping me though some tough times that I had going on. Though I didn't really use much of the wider college I did make use of the support team and was able to borrow a laptop from the college which helped with my classes and had a working camera so I could turn it on and give the lecturers a face to talk to."
