Faye Thompson SVQ3 Hairdressing

 Faye has progressed through the levels at West Lothian College starting at Level 5.  Faye who lives in Uphall had already completed a series of beauty courses at the college before taking time out to have her child.

“I had studied Beauty therapy here and once the little one was old enough I decided  to return to do hairdressing as I think having both beauty and hairdressing skills will make my CV more appealing to employers.”

Faye enjoys being able to work on clients in the college’s very own commercial salon Platinum:

“The facilities here are very good. I think we are quite lucky to have our own salon to work in.”

Once she graduates Faye would like to spend a bit of time being employed and establishing herself before perhaps venturing out on her own in the future.
