Online resources

As a student or member of staff at West Lothian College you have access to the following resources.
The majority of these resources are password protected.  Below each resource are details of how to login. If you have any problems accessing these resources please contact a member of the library staff.


To access online material purchased by the college you will need an OpenAthens username and password.  This will be organised for you at the start of term and you will receive an email from Openathens giving you your username and a link to create a password and activate your account.  Once you have activated your account you will have the username and password to access electronic books and other online resources purchased by college.  Any problems please contact library staff.  To allow you access to resources, when you may be having problems with your personal account, we have also created a generic account for each centre.  Students can access these details, under their course title, on Moodle  once  they have logged in.

        West Lothian Council e books

Register on the site with your library barcode and PIN (last 4 digits of your telephone number) and then start searching. You can borrow or reserve up to three eBooks at a time and download them to a variety of eBook readers, IPhones, IPads and Android devices and some Kindles, for example Kindle Fire.
