Do you have enthusiasm and an enquiring mind?

Do you want to extend your network and enhance your leadership skills?

Do you want to help people become the best that they can be?

Event Details

If you answer ‘Yes’ to these questions then West Lothian College Board would love to hear from you. West Lothian College is running a free event to encourage more people, particularly women, to consider applying for voluntary board positions.

We currently have vacancies for new Board Members who would be part of a team of 18 working together to ensure that West Lothian College delivers the best learning opportunities for all members of our region’s communities.

You may never have considered a board position before, but your experience may be invaluable. Public sector boards are very keen to increase the diversity of their non-executive directors so this may be a great opportunity for you.

Topics we will cover include

  • The benefits to you of being on a board
  • What public sector boards do and specifically at West Lothian College
  • What being a non-executive director entails
  • The support and help available to you should you wish to consider such a position
