West Lothian College students fling themselves into Highland Games!

Over the last five years West Lothian College has been on hand at the West Lothian Highland Games showcasing the talents of the students via a range of services showing the people in attendance what West Lothian College has to offer.

2019 was no exception and on Saturday 25 May students from hospitality and communities, sport and fitness and hair and beauty attended the event to provide various means of entertainment for guests.

Professional Cookery students demonstrated their cookery skills by preparing hors d'oeuvres while hair and beauty students were on hand for some face painting fun.

Sport and fitness students held a mini highland games for local primary schools which went down a treat and even the weather taking a turn for the worst couldn’t dampen the spirits of the competitors. The eventual winners were Southdale Primary School, Armadale, but it’s fair to say that the event was enjoyed by all who took part.

Centre Head for Hospitality and Communities at West Lothian College Margaret Forisky commented “It is a pleasure to continue our partnership with the West Lothian Highland Games. The event gives our students a chance to get out there and demonstrate the skills they have gained and developed at College. We look forward to returning to the games next year for more fun.”
