As part of the Scotland-wide dispute over pay, the next one day of strike action by the EIS trade union is due to take place on Thursday 21 March.
With some lecturers on strike, most classes will be cancelled on Thursday 21 March. You will be advised if your class is due to run by very latest Tuesday 19 March 2019, midday.
If your class is cancelled, you should feel free to use the day to study at home using Moodle and/or materials for your course or come to the College and make use of the facilities such as the Library and the E-Meal Cafe.
This is a national strike – individual colleges are not able to negotiate pay locally. Discussions at a national level are continuing to agree a solution as quickly as possible.
We apologise for any inconvenience and concern this causes you. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your Student Association (located on the first floor of the Street Building) or Jenny Stalker, Head of Quality and Learner Services by telephone on 01506 427910 or by email at JStalker@west-lothian.ac.uk.
Classes will take place as normal on Friday 22 March.
