Employability Hub opens at West Lothian College

West Lothian College has launched an employability hub which will offer employers keen to work with the college but unsure how to go about it an informal means of establishing a connection with the college.

The hub is in the Street building opposite reception and will run on a Tuesday and Thursday from 2-4pm. The hub will initially run for three weeks.

It is hoped that the hub will be a one stop shop for employers to come in and meet the team and for students to find out about job and placement opportunities. The service requires no pre booking and interested parties are encouraged to drop by for a chat and a coffee.

The college employer engagement team work tirelessly building relationships with local employers to develop the skills of the future workforce through placements, allowing our students to gain vital experience enhancing their employability skills and preparing them for the world of work.

Elaine Campbell, Employer Engagement Officer said “We are very excited to open our employability hub. Our students really benefit from getting industry experience which will help them kick-start a successful career in their chosen field and employers get to help our students take the first step in their careers by providing placements benefitting the student and employer.”

The hub will be open on a Tuesday and Thursday between 2 and 4 pm until 6th June 2019.
