Beauty Therapy Students Progress to WorldSkills Regional Finals
Three talented Beauty Therapy students have secured places in the regional finals of the prestigious WorldSkills competition, following outstanding performances in the initial stages of the national contest.
The students — Jorja Byrne (SVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy), Sarah Latif and Milda Dundzyte (both SVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy) — have successfully progressed through the first rounds and have been invited to compete at the WorldSkills regional finals in York on 18 June.
Their success reflects not only their dedication, talent and commitment to excellence, but also the invaluable support and guidance provided by Beauty Therapy Lecturer Gayle Hislop. Through her expertise, encouragement and mentorship, Gayle has played a pivotal role in preparing the students for competition and helping them showcase their skills at a high level.
WorldSkills is renowned for recognising and celebrating excellence in vocational skills, providing competitors with the opportunity to test themselves against some of the most talented students and apprentices from across the UK.
The achievement is a significant milestone for all three students and highlights the high standard of training and industry-relevant skills being developed within the Beauty Therapy programme.
