The course covers the knowledge and skills needed for beauty therapy and the make-up industry. These include:
· Make-up
· Gel Polish
· Anatomy and Physiology
· Manicure
· Facials
· Waxing
· Pedicure
· Lash and Brow treatments including semi-permanent eyelash extensions
· Communications
· IT
· Health and Safety
You will learn from guest speakers and additional courses to keep you up to date with current trends.
This course includes practical demonstrations and lectures while working in our realistic salon which is fully equipped to perform treatments. You will learn skills by initially practicing on each other prior to completing on clients once proficient. This qualification is recognised by employers & insurance companies and the units undertaken within this course are current & industry related. You will also have the opportunity to train & use professional skin care brand Eve Taylor
· At least two National 4s including English
· You must be 16 years or over before the 29th of August 2023
We welcome applications from mature returners, including those who lack formal qualifications or who wish to change career direction.
If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.
Education: NQ Level 6 in Beauty and Spa Therapies
Employment: Assistant in a salon, retail assistant within the beauty therapy industry
