SVQ IN MANAGEMENT AT SCQF LEVEL 9

The Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Management at SCQF level 9 allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job-related skills in their particular area of work and expertise.


These qualifications have been designed in partnership with industry and SQA to ensure relevance to the sector.
Upon successful completion, learners will gain an international recognised qualification which guarantees that they have the skills, knowledge and abilities required to carry out their role successfully.

 

This qualification is jointly awarded with the Chartered Institute of Management (CMI)

  • What the course includes

    SVQs in Management are designed to equip those working as middle managers to demonstrate competence in their job role.

    Mandatory units cover

    • Develop operational plans
    • Provide Leadership
    • Develop and sustain working relationships
    • Manage Business processes

Why study this course?

As assessment is normally carried out in the workplace this minimises any time learners would need to be away from their work and allows candidates to generate evidence based on the actual work they are carrying out.

You will be assigned a highly experienced assessor to work with you on an individual basis. This assessor will support you build a portfolio of evidence demonstrating your knowledge and competence in this sector.

Candidates who are registered for SVQ in Management at SCQF level 9 are able to take advantage of 12 months free studying membership of CMI.

  • Where it leads

    Candidates can progress from the Level 4 SVQ Management at SCQF level 9 third year BA in Business Management. The progression route for each candidate will depend on their job role and level of responsibility.
