SVQ 3 MANAGEMENT (SDS)

The Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Management at SCQF Level 7 allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job-related skills in their particular area of work and expertise.

These qualifications have been designed in partnership with industry and SQA to ensure relevance to the sector.

Upon successful completion, learners will gain an international recognised qualification which guarantees that they have the skills, knowledge and abilities required to carry out their role successfully.

This qualification is jointly awarded with the Chartered Institute of Management (CMI)

    What the course includes

    SVQs in Management are designed to equip those working as first line managers, section managers, assistant managers, trainee managers, senior supervisors, and those working in a range of other management positions to demonstrate competence in their job role.

As assessment is normally carried out in the workplace this minimises any time learners would need to be away from their work and allows candidates to generate evidence based on the actual work they are carrying out.

You will be assigned a highly experienced assessor to work with you on an individual basis. This assessor will support you build a portfolio of evidence demonstrating your knowledge and competence in this sector.

Candidates who are registered for SVQ in Management at SCQF level 7 (GM26 23) are able to take advantage of 12 months free studying membership of CMI.
