SVQ 3 BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (SDS)

SVQs in Business and Administration are designed to equip those working in business and administration with the skills and knowledge they need to demonstrate competence in their job role.

  • What the course includes

    At SCQF Level 6, candidates have a broad range of activities with significant complexity, responsibility and autonomy, often in a supervisory or team-leading role.

    Mandatory units cover

    • Managing workload,
    • Communicating and planning, and
    • Improving one’s own performance in a business environment.

    There are a wide range of optional units including:

    • Work responsibilities
    • Document production and design
    • Managing events
    • Customer service
    • Managing business resources
    • Managing information and data

Upon successful completion, learners will gain an international recognised As assessment is normally carried out in the workplace this minimises any time learners would need to be away from their work and allows candidates to generate evidence based on the actual work they are carrying out.

You will be assigned a highly experienced assessor to work with you on an individual basis.

This assessor will support you build a portfolio of evidence demonstrating your knowledge and competence in this sector.

  • Where will it lead?

    SVQs in Business Administration could provide progression to higher-level SVQs as your job role develops and changes

    The Kevel 6 award could provide progression to:

    • HNC/HND in Business, Administration or a related area
    • PDA in Business or Administration
    • SVQ in Business and Administration at SCQF Level 8
