This is a very exciting 3 week course that will provide you with an introduction to the role in preparing you for employment at St John’s Hospital as a Healthcare Support Worker.

Start date: 26 April 2021

Days: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (mainly online learning with some aspects of face to face learning in week 3)

    The course is made up of 2 weeks of blended learning supported by West Lothian College staff and a 1 week induction programme with NHS Lothian, also a blended learning approach.

Entry requirements

No formal entry requirements however a genuine interest in healthcare is essential and a passion to work within the healthcare profession.

If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.

Interview arrangements

Interviews will take place on Wednesday, 31 March and Thursday, 1 April on Microsoft Teams. These interviews will be undertaken by a member of NHS staff and a member of College staff.
