SKILLS BOOST - Keep Yourself Well (YPG/NTTF)
This course has been developed to introduce students to something that people can use on a daily basis to keep themselves well and also understand themselves a little better.
Keeping well and building wellbeing is an active process that must be led by the individual. That being said… We are interdependent. It is important to reach out; to connect with others; and to let others help us when we need their support. The course helps our Students to create organic, built in, peer networks.
This course is not intended as a replacement for therapy, medication or anything else our students might be using to stay well.
Think of the plan our students will develop as a map of them and what helps them. Making a map does not change the terrain, but it makes navigation easier.
We may all share from our life experiences during this course, including the facilitators. We want these group spaces to be inclusive, safe and nurturing so that we can all learn from each other in an open, honest and respectful manner.
We hope that our students use what they learn and develop together to keep safe on their difficult days and to work towards thriving on their best days.
