SCHOOLS PORTFOLIO SKILLS

This course is most suitable for 5th and 6th year pupils who may be intending to apply to Art College or an HNC/D at an FE College. It may also suit some 4th year pupils. 

The course is taught by a practising artist who can share their experience of art education and having a career in the arts.

    What the course includes

    This is a practical course that will give you the opportunity to explore subjects including: 

    • Drawing techniques and media
    • Figure drawing
    • Colour techniques and media
    • Textile skills including printing and dyeing.
    • Digital skills
    • Printmaking
    • Exploring 3D
    • Sketchbook development

    This course will introduce you to the work of current day and historical artists and designers to inspire or inform your future studies.

    We offer NC Art and Design (Portfolio Development) and HNC Art Portfolio Production. 

    For the past nine years 100% of our HNC Art Portfolio Production students applying to advanced level studies were offered places on their chosen courses. 

    The majority of our HNC Art Portfolio Production students are offered direct entry to year two. Some of the prestigious offers are degree studies at;
