This qualification has been designed to meet the requirements of social service workers who are registered, registerable or prospectively registerable with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) in a supervisory role and are looking to enhance their skills and employment opportunities.

    What the course includes

    The PDA in Health and Social Care Supervision at SCQF level 7 comprises two Mandatory Units which will cover:

    Health and Social Care: Supervise People

    Health and Social Care: Supervise the Protection of People

First Aid

The PDA is an open learning course and is assessed through the completion of two workbooks and a 3000 word essay.

Entry Requirements

You must be currently employed in a supervisory role within the care sector. Students must also be SSSC registered.

As stipulated by Skills Development Scotland (SDS), applications for Individual Training Account (ITA) funding for 2019/20 study are now on hold as of 26 April 2019.
