PDA EDUCATION SUPPORT ASSISTANCE EVENING (YEAR 2) (TUES)

This course is suitable for those who wish to work as a pupil support worker in a nursery/primary/secondary or additional support needs setting.

    What the course includes

    This course includes Supporting Children and young people with Additional Support Needs, Developing Professional Practice in an Educational Setting, Supporting the Behaviour of Children and Young People and Understanding Professional Practice in an Education Setting people. 

    This course also includes a work placement which will support students with evidence for the unit Developing Professional Practice in an Education Setting.

This qualification will allow registration with SSSC as a Support Worker.

Entry requirements

  • You should already be employed in a school setting or have a keen interest in childcare and development. You should have also completed year 1. 

If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.
