PDA EDUCATION SUPPORT ASSISTANCE EVENING (Year 1) (TUES)

This course is suitable for those who wish to work as a pupil support worker in a nursery/primary/secondary or additional support needs setting.

Duration: 1 year (this is year 1 of a 2 year course)
Cost: £500 per year (ITA funding may be available)

  • What the course includes

    This course includes supporting the development of children and young people from birth to 18 years and supporting children and young people who require additional support for learning. Students will also learn about the rights and entitlements of children and young people.

    This course also includes a work placement.

This qualification will allow registration with SSSC as a Support Worker.

Entry requirements

  • You should already be employed in a school setting or have a keen interest in childcare and development

If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.
