The course will give you expertise, skills and qualifications for work in the sport and fitness sector. We work closely with local employers: you will visit a range of fitness settings to take part in various classes. This gives valuable industry experience and give you an introduction to gym instructor level 1. The college is an active member of Scottish Student Sport. We have sports teams in football, rugby, basketball and badminton, so you will have the opportunity to represent the college in various external leagues.
This course has been really helpful for me. I chose the course to improve my fitness and the course has really helped me do that, it is hard work but very beneficial.

If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.
Education: HNC fitness, health and exercise; HNC coaching and developing sport; other HNC courses at West Lothian College.
Employment: sport and fitness leader, leisure-club host, community centre activity leader and more.
