Students will develop knowledge and understanding of substantive topics in contemporary psychology, namely Sleep,Dreams and Sleep Disorders,
Conformity and Obedience and Atypical Behaviour.

    What will I study?

    Candidates will develop knowledge and understanding of substantive topics in contemporary psychology, namely Memory, Stress, Conformity & Obedience and Atypical Behaviour. One of the three Units combines the Domain of Research Methods with practical research skills, an essential feature of the discipline, thus research skills are developed in the context of an understanding of research methodology.

Entry Requirements?

  • Candidates would normally be expected to have attained National Qualifications at SCQF level 5 or equivalent
  • Applications and enrolments will be treated on a first-come basis.
  • Due to the high demand, early interest is recommended.

    Candidates may have the opportunity to apply to Higher level courses.

There is an interview required for this course.

Fees, Finance and Funding

ITA update:

Individual Training Account funding has now been closed to new Applicants as of 7th December 2018. Applicants should be able to apply again from April 2019, subject to Skills Development Scotland making new funds available. What options do I have for paying my course fees?

West Lothian College accept payment in full for all part time courses by Cash, Card, Bank Transfer or Cheque.

 

In response to the unforeseen withdrawal of ITA funding, West Lothian College have put in place an option for students to pay their course fees by instalments. This can be discussed with our Student Advice team at the time of your enrolment, and they will explain all the options and terms and conditions to you.
