This course is designed to help students understand human psychology, psychology theories and practical research skills in the context of an understanding of research methodology.

This course will run on Tuesday evenings from 6pm-9pm for 35 weeks.

    What will I study?

    Candidates will develop knowledge and understanding of substantive topics in contemporary psychology, namely Memory, Stress, Conformity & Obedience and Atypical Behaviour. One of the three Units combines the Domain of Research Methods with practical research skills, an essential feature of the discipline, thus research skills are developed in the context of an understanding of research methodology.

  • Candidates would normally be expected to have attained National Qualifications at SCQF level 5 or equivalent.
