On this course, you will study a wide range of subjects from mechanical engineering to electrical and manufacturing. This course is suitable for those persons who wish to become a skilled crafts/trades person within engineering.

This course will introduce you to a variety of different engineering disciplines; including mechanical, manufacturing, fabrication and welding electronics and electrical engineering.  

Entry requirements

  • Student must be qualified to at least National 4 in mathematics
  • Mature applicants without the necessary minimum qualifications will be considered on an individual basis

If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.

  • Where it leads

    Education: This course can take you onto a Level 6 course or potentially right into our HNC in Engineering or HNC Fabrication & Welding.

    Employment: Engineering apprenticeship or employment in the manufacturing or service sector.

  • Group interview
  • Short Skills Test which will cover basic literacy and numeracy as well as practical skills

If you are a progressing student successful completion of course will be required.
