  • What this course includes

    This course covers the 3 main practical welding processes MMA, MIG & TIG as well as practical Fabrication skills to get you ready for your career. You will also cover the academic side of this career in understanding how equipment works and the materials used in Fabrication & Welding.

Entry requirements

  • At least National 4 (Intermediate 1) including mathematics

We consider mature candidates without the minimum qualifications on an individual basis.

If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.

  • Where it leads

    Education: NC level 6 and then on to HNC/D and degree-level.

    Employment: a career in welding and fabrication.

    Successful completion of the NC can lead straight onto employment or further your qualification with the HNC Fabrication, Welding & Inspection

Interviews are in person, with a tour of the workshop facilities and a chat about what and why you wish to come onto the course.
