NC FABRICATION AND WELDING LEVEL 5 (Day Release)

Practical course for those wanting to work in the fabrication and welding industry. There are opportunities in oil- and gas-related industries and manufacturers of metal parts and equipment.

Entry requirements

  • At least National 4 (Intermediate 1) including mathematics

We consider mature candidates without the minimum qualifications on an individual basis.

If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.

    Education: NC level 6 and then on to HNC/D and degree-level.

    Employment: a career in welding and fabrication.

Interview arrangements

If we invite you for interview, plan to be in college for around three hours. Bring evidence of any qualifications stated on your application form.

The interview involves:

  • Individual interview with a course lecturer and another member of staff: timeslot allocated on the day
  • Short aptitude test

During the interview, we will ask you about the health and safety aspects of welding, and why you want to do this course.
