NC Civil Engineering Day Release Year 1

This course will provide a comprehensive grounding for a rewarding career within the field of Civil Engineering. The course will give students the opportunity to achieve the knowledge, understanding and skills required to gain employment in the sector, or progress to higher education.

Entry Requirements

  • Three Standard Grades at Level 3 (General) or above,
    Intermediate 2 or National
  • 4/5 in English, Science, Mathematics or appropriate technical subjects (Mathematics is strongly recommended for learners wishing to pursue NC
    in Civil Engineering).
  • A construction craft qualification which might be combined with appropriate further study prior to, or in parallel with, the NC programme.
  • Completion of a course at SCQF Level 5 in either Construction or
    Engineering.
  • Relevant industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis.
  • Progression to year 2.

ITA update

Individual Training Account funding has now been closed to new Applicants as of 7th December 2018. Applicants should be able to apply again from April 2019, subject to Skills Development Scotland making new funds available. What options do I have for paying my course fees?

West Lothian College accept payment in full for all part time courses by Cash, Card, Bank Transfer or Cheque.

 

In response to the unforeseen withdrawal of ITA funding, West Lothian College have put in place an option for students to pay their course fees by instalments. This can be discussed with our Student Advice team at the time of your enrolment, and they will explain all the options and terms and conditions to you.
