This is an excellent course for students to learn how to prepare for and perform a manicure safety and effectively then evaluate the treatment performed.

Cost: £220 (ITA funding may be available) + £60 for kit (£20 non-refundable deposit for kit to be paid at the salon once you have applied and paid for the course)

    • How to prepare for and perform a manicure safety and effectively
    • How to evaluate the treatment performed
    • How to identify and describe hand and nail conditions and the nail structure

Entry requirements

  • No formal entry requirements, but an interest in the subject is essential 
  • If English is not your first language you will need to provide evidence that you have achieved ESOL National 5 (or equivalent) 
  • You will need to provide your own tunic, but this can be any style or colour 
  • Please note nail extensions should not be worn for the duration of this course

    • Progression to a beauty course at West Lothian College
