    Successful candidates will be issued with a lifetime certificate from the Institute of the Motor Industry Awards (IMI). 

    The IMI award in “Automotive Refrigerant Handling” has been specifically designed to provide the knowledge, training and qualification necessary to satisfy EU legislation in the automotive air conditioning role. 

    This course is designed for anyone handling refrigerants within the automotive industry including mobile mechanics, garages, body shops and main dealerships.

Entry Requirements

Individuals interested in taking this course will need to possess appropriate vehicle maintenance and repair knowledge and skills at IMI Level 3 or equivalent and basic knowledge of the operation of air conditioning systems.  

If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.
