This course is designed for people who want to explore the variety of career and study paths they could follow within Care, Science and Social Science.  It is a good choice for those who want a first look and to gain Knowledge of these disciplines.

    Why should I choose this course?

    You will study the following units as part of the course: Care Values and Principles, Human Development and Behaviour, Communication, ICT, Skills for Work: Health Sector and Improving Health, Chemistry and Life and also Social Influences.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements, however motivation for study is essential. Entry is by interview where a written piece of work will be requested.

Interview arrangements

If you are invited for an interview for this course, the instructions are below:

Please expect to be in college for around three hours and applicants are required to bring evidence of their qualifications. Individual interviews will be held with two members of staff and timeslots will be allocated on the day.

There may be help available to assist with your study related costs. Impartial, confidential help and advice on financial matters is available from the Student Funding Team - including Bursaries, Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA), Student Awards Agency for Scotland, Student Loans Company and student support funds.
