HND BEAUTY THERAPY

This course is aimed at those with qualifications in beauty therapy who would like to further develop their theoretical and practical skills.

Once completed, this course prepares students for beauty or spa therapist, salon manager or owner/self-employed.

Successful completion of this course allows students direct entry into year 3 of the BSc (hons) Integrative Healthcare at the University of Highlands and Islands.

This course includes practical demonstrations & lectures whilst working in our realistic salon which is fully equipped to perform treatments. Skills will be developed by initially practicing on each other prior to completing on clients once proficient. Guest speakers are arranged to help advise of any upcoming career opportunities.

Entry requirements

  • HNC Beauty Therapy

You should also be motivated, enthusiastic and interested in the beauty therapy industry.

If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.

  • Where it leads

    Employment: Qualified beauty therapist working as an employee within the beauty or spa industry, managerial roles, self-employment, progression.

    Education: Entry to year 3 of BSc (Hons) Integrative Healthcare at UHI (University of Highlands and Islands).

Interview arrangements

When you submit your application, you will receive an email confirming that this has been received. You will then receive your interview date by email.

The interview process will consist of the following elements: 

  • A one to one interview
  • Only applicants that are successful at interview and achieve the minimum test scores will be offered a place.
