Covering all aspects of electrical engineering, this course includes inspect and test and three phase systems and graded unit.
The course includes, communication practical skills, single phase AC circuits, mathematics for engineering, electrical networks and resonance, electrical safety, fundamentals of control systems and transducers, electrical machine principles, three phase systems and power electronics.
This course is assessed through a formal and written examination covering mandatory units, together with a mix of practical laboratory exercises and end of unit assessments.
Individual units can be studied to suit candidates.
Following the completion of this course, you can progress onto further study at HND/degree level, and/or move into enhanced employment opportunities.
If we invite you for interview, plan to be in college for around two to three hours- bring evidence of any qualifications stated on your application form.
HNC applicants only: We will ask you to complete an aptitude test with questions testing some standard mathematics and English skills.
