HNC DIGITAL DESIGN AND WEB DEVELOPMENT

This course is for those who want to develop a career as a web developer, app developer, digital designer, web content editor, digital content editor or in digital marketing.

  • What the course includes

    This course covers the basics of website development, and technologies and techniques for developing content for computers, smartphones and tablets.

Entry requirements

  • One Higher (grade C or above) plus two Standard Grades at credit level or
  • Foundation Apprenticeship in a related subject or
  • Suitable range of SQA units at Intermediate 2 and Higher level

We welcome mature applicants with relevant experience.

    Education: HND or university course. West Lothian College has an agreement with Edinburgh Napier University allowing direct entry to 2nd year on the BSc (Hons) web design and development course.

    Employment: a career within the digital design and website development sector. This can be within a private organisation, public sector, an agency or starting your own business.

Interview arrangements

If we invite you for an interview, plan to be in college for around three hours.

There will be an individual interview with two staff members: we allocate time slots for this on the day.
