HNC CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

This course focuses on the key knowledge and skills required by a technician or site agent/manager employed in a construction supervisory, or management role.


There is technical content in the course where students will develop skills in construction surveying, construction materials and construction technology (domestic and commercial construction).
The course also covers site management principles, together with construction planning, construction contracts, and elements of site administration.

 

This is an evening course however day release may be considered upon request.

Days of Week:  Monday and Wednesday evenings
Time: 6.00-9.00pm
Duration:  2 years
Cost: £750 per year

  • Relevant industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis.

    Education: Students who achieve an HNC Construction Management can progress to the HND 

    • Architectural Technology
    • Building Surveying
    • Construction Management 
    • Quantity Surveying

    Employment:

    • Possible progression to a supervisory or technician post in the Construction industry.
    • Higher National qualifications also provide the knowledge and understanding required for related Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs).
    • The HNC Construction Management provides a range of skills which support learning in the SVQ 3 and SVQ 4 Construction: Technical Modern
      Apprenticeship frameworks.
