HNC BEAUTY THERAPY

This course is aimed at those with qualifications in beauty therapy who would like to further develop their theoretical & practical skills. Once completed, this course prepares students for beauty or spa therapist, salon manager or owner/self-employed.

 

Successful completion of this course allows students to progress to HND Beauty Therapy or gain direct entry into year 2 of the BSc (hons) Integrative Healthcare at the University of Highlands and Islands.

The units are current, industry related and you will have the opportunity to train & use professional skin care brands. This course includes practical demonstrations & lectures whilst working in our realistic salon which is fully equipped to perform treatments. Skills will be developed by initially practicing on each other prior to completing on clients once proficient. Guest speakers are arranged to help advise of any upcoming career opportunities.

Entry requirements

You should have the following or equivalent:

  • NC level 6 beauty care
  • SVQ level 3 beauty therapy

You should also be motivated, enthusiastic and interested in the beauty therapy industry.

If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.
