This course is for anyone who wants to develop their knowledge and skills for further study in science-related disciplines and for work in the science industry.
Day of week: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Time: Tuesday 9am-4.00pm, Thursday 9am-4.00pm and Friday 1.30pm-4pm
Duration: 35 weeks
The course includes:
• Cell biology, microbiology and biochemistry
• IT, statistics and biochemical techniques
• Lab skills and Lab safety
You can tailor what you study towards biomedical or biological science, and learn transferable skills in critical and evaluative thinking, independent research and statistics.
Education: HND or degree courses in biomedical or biological sciences.
Employment: jobs in science areas such as research and industrial laboratories, and biological and biomedical industries. Previous students have found employment with NHS 24.
