The main purpose of the course is to develop the skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking in order to understand and use English for students whose first language is not English.

    What the course includes

    This course will allow students to develop basic language skills needed in familiar personal, social and transactional contexts for students whose first language is not English. Students will develop a level of competence in the skills of listening and speaking using basic English language.

Interview Arrangements

We will invite you to college to assess your level of English language. This takes around two hours. Please contact studentadvice@west-lothian.ac.uk to arrange.

During the interview you can decide whether a morning or afternoon class is most suitable for you.
