ESOL NATIONAL 3

This course is for people who have a basic understanding of the English language or have completed ESOL study at level 2. It aims to improve language skills including reading, writing, listening and speaking. You will also study Core Skills, for example ICT and Communications.

  • What the course includes

    The course includes the National 3 ESOL award and a range of units to support your study and your understanding of the language for use at home and work. This course prepares you for further ESOL study. You will cover a range of units for example:

    ESOL for Everyday Life

    ESOL in Context

    ESOL: Speaking and listening 

ESOL National 3

Entry requirements

Expected to be working at level 2 or above (we will assess this)

If you are at beginner level there are other options we can offer you, for example you can access free study with West Lothian Council.

Interview arrangements

We will invite you to meet in college or online to assess your level of English language. This takes around two hours.
