Emergency First Aid at Work

This First Aid course provides vital knowledge for an "appointed person" within the workplace to deal with minor injuries and ailments, as well as being able to buy time for Emergency Services in the case of a more serious incident.

  • Course Aim

    The course is delivered by experienced and qualified tutors within a classroom environment using a number of techniques including instructor led presentations, discussions and group practice.

    The course covers:

    • Resuscitation
    • Choking
    • Bleeding and Shock
    • Heart Attacks
    • Electrical Injury
    • Fainting
    • Burns and Scalds
    • Epileptic Fits
    • Fractures
    • Poisoning
    • Contents of a comprehensive First Aid Box

Course Opportunities

This course will enable you to be an "appointed person" within a low risk work environment, able to administer aid in the case of minor injuries and buy time for Emergency Services in serious cases.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, with applications and enrolments being treated on a first-come basis. Due to high demand, early interest is recommended.
