COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate is 40 SCQF credits at SCQF Level 8.

This course is intended for a wide variety of people who wish to know more about counselling skills and approaches.

Please note: The mode of delivery has changed this year, and students will need to attend two evenings a week across the year.

    The four main themes of the course are:

    • Knowledge

    • Self-awareness

    The titles of the modules are as follows:

    • Module 1 Beginnings
    • Module 2 Exploration and Expansion
    • Module 3 Review and Reflection
    • Module 4 Integration

    Students will learn:

    • About counselling skills and approaches
    • How to apply these skills either within the workplace or for the development of self-awareness and personal growth

  • It is essential you are able to support others

If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.
