COMPUTER AIDED DRAUGHTING FOR ENGINEERS

Whether to produce impressive and professional looking drawings for reports, designs or presentations or simply as a way of getting across to people, such as builders, exactly what you want, obtaining CAD skills will always be both worthwhile and rewarding. Candidates will undertake three separate assessments and, if successful, will gain a CAD qualification at SCQF level 7 (HNC level). The qualification may also be used towards other relevant HNC qualifications.

What are the entry requirements?

  • No formal requirements
  • Computer application skills would be advised, and also a technical knowledge.
  • Applications and enrolments will be treated on a first-come basis. Due to the high demand, early interest is recommended.

    Where it leads

    Learners may wish to study other versions of CAD such as Inventor.

ITA update

Individual Training Account funding has now been closed to new Applicants as of 7th December 2018. Applicants should be able to apply again from April 2019, subject to Skills Development Scotland making new funds available. What options do I have for paying my course fees?

West Lothian College accept payment in full for all part time courses by Cash, Card, Bank Transfer or Cheque.

 

In response to the unforeseen withdrawal of ITA funding, West Lothian College have put in place an option for students to pay their course fees by instalments. This can be discussed with our Student Advice team at the time of your enrolment, and they will explain all the options and terms and conditions to you.
