Want to work in human resources, but not sure where to start?  

The Foundation Certificate is great for giving you the qualification for that first step in to a career in HR. The course will provide you with the knowledge and understanding for working in HR Administrator, HR Assistant and HR Advisor posts.

This qualification is ideal for anyone wanting to gain the essential knowledge and skills required to move into HR or is working in HR but do not hold a formal qualification. The course is a general introduction to HR and people management equipping you with a wide range of practical HR skills and to develop essential HR skills.

Gain practical knowledge to deal with issues like employee relations, performance and reward management. Gain Foundation membership of the CIPD, allowing you to use the designation Foundation CIPD after your name to showcase your credentials.

You will be expected to attend an evening class at West Lothian College for one academic year. All assessment is undertaken via a series of assignments so you can evidence your learning and competence across a range of HR related skills.

Learners from this course can progress to higher CIPD qualifications or use this qualification to progress a career within the HR sector.
