AAT YEAR 1

This qualification covers complex accounting and finance topics and tasks leading to students becoming confident with a wide range of financial management skills and applications.

Students will gain competencies in drafting financial statements for limited companies, recommending accounting systems strategies and constructing and presenting complex management accounting reports.

The AAT Accounting Qualifications provide practical, internationally recognised finance and accountancy skills that can open doors for you in any industry across the world.

Start date: 29th August 2023 (duration of 24 months)
Days of Week: Tuesday and Thursday
Time: 6:00pm-9:00pm, 6 hours additional self-study required each week to consolidate skills

  • What this course includes

    This course covers high level accounting tasks including financial statements, managing budgets and evaluating financial performance. You may also be able to specialize in areas such as tax/auditing.  

    The units covered are as follows:  

    • Applied Management Accounting
    • Drafting and Interpreting Financial Statements
    • Internal Accounting Systems and Controls
    • Business Tax
    • Personal Tax

You will be invited to attend an interview.  

If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.

Fees, Funding & Finance

Course Fees £1760

Students will pay for Learner registration/membership £240 to AAT.  This is a one off payment. 

Assessment fee will be met by the learning provider (up to maximum of two sittings per module)
