Carbon Management Plan

The Scottish Climate Change Scotland Act 2009 sets out some of the most ambitious targets of any country to reduce carbon emissions. Within this context West Lothian College has produced its second Carbon Reduction Plan.

The importance that the College places on sustainability is also recognised in the Regional Plan and Outcome Agreement which contains the following Priority Outcome “West Lothian will benefit from the provision of sustainable post 16 vocational education supported by the efficiencies of continued embedding of shared services and increasing joint provision with West Lothian Council Environmental impact analysis of the whole College portfolio is effective, robust and informs targets to reduce carbon footprint and waste.

The Net Zero Plan was launched in October 2021.
