Dana Henderson studies Level 6 Professional Cookery at West Lothian College after progressing from Level 5.
Dana decided to study here after becoming disillusioned in her previous role.
“I wanted to change jobs as I wasn’t happy where I was. Cooking is a passion of mine so I thought it would be great if I could make a career out of it.”
One of the unique things about studying cookery at West Lothian College is the fact that students can work in a multi award winning restaurant. Our Terrace Restaurant is renowned for serving meals of the highest quality to the p eople of West Lothian and beyond. This is something Dana is very proud of.
“It’s great that we get to produce meals for paying customers at the Terrace. It’s very satisfying.”
Dana is looking forward to her upcoming work placement which will give her more work experience and hopes to progress onto the HNC course upon completion of Level 6.
Ultimately Dana would like to work in a restaurant overseas but for now she is more than happy to be cooking up a storm in the Terrace Restaurant.
