Flexible Workforce Development Fund (FWDF)

The Flexible Workforce Development Fund (FWDF) is a fund that provides employers with development and training opportunities to up skill and re skill their existing workforce.

The Scottish Government have allocated further funding in 2018-19 to provide £10 million of training to employers in Scotland who are subject to the apprenticeship levy.

The fund aims to encourage innovation in the economy, drive inclusive and sustainable growth, and ensure a productive and engaged workforce capable of meeting the needs of employers and increase productivity in the work place.

Levy-paying employers will also now have the ability to bring benefit to their supply chain by including supply chain company staff in training they have identified.

Who is eligible to apply?

  • All levy paying employers in Scotland across the public, private and third sector can apply for this funding
  • You can apply for up to £15,000 of funding
  • Experts in the field will train your staff in line with organisational objectives
  • Choose existing training from our suite of offers or have a bespoke package created
